Proofreading is a verification process in which the linguistic or professional proofreader compares the source and target language texts. This involves checking the translation and making any necessary corrections and improvements.
Proofreading is highly dependent on the field of specialization, with an average additional cost of 50%.
Depending on the density/character size of the text, an average of 1250-1800 characters per page is the basis for the per-page calculation.
In figures, this means that, for example, at an average translation rate of USD 0.05 per character, the cost per page is approximately USD 65-90.
The above translation rates are of course indicative and apply to texts of average difficulty. The price per character, and therefore per page, depends on the specialization, the urgency, the specific format of the document, etc.
Full confidentiality
Disclosing the contents of your private correspondence to a third party is a delicate and unpleasant matter, but sometimes it is unfortunately unavoidable. If you decide to entrust us with the translation task, we will keep all information confidential. Once the work is completed, we will delete the document and the copy of the original letter we hold - unless our Client requests otherwise.
